It's certainly worth looking into. It would be a difficult and dangerous plan to implement. Dying captive animals is entirely different from doing it with wild ones. Some dyes could be introduced into their food supply to slowly dye them over time. Non-toxic dye could be sprayed on them, perhaps even from the air. A bit tricky, but possible. A bit traumatic for them, but far less traumatic than the poachers would do to them. Certainly should look into it.
